I applaud this post. This is what we need. Substack should be a place where we learn the nitty-gritty of resistance. We don’t need to hear constant complaints about these fascists. Here, we all know that he is a fascist dictator. We need , actions we can take. But understand substack makes a profit off of our anger. Why do you think they encourage everyone to have paid subscriptions? They take a cut. They play us. At this very moment there are antisemitic substacks, fascist substacks. They are just a corporation interested in profit. Despite that, let’s turn our resist substack bubble into an action group. You are the start. Another problem with the resistance is that it is unnecessarily splintered. We need unity. Protests are not listed in one place. Yes there is “find a protest” and protest.one but other groups like mobilize, rise and resist, 50501 etc don’t list there protests there? Why not? Don’t worry about the authorities finding out. They are the first to know about them. Why do you think cops are at every protest? Let’s unite to defeat fascism and let’s start talking about what comes next after Trumpty Dumpty has his great fall.

I have looked into and actually told customers MAGA $ are no good Here. Not buying from or selling to Trump supporters and companies. I openly counter bad data when with friends. I reply to websites like this.

Great list. Love how there were 10 points about taking care of yourself. And those first. Maybe add “be joyful” because when we stay in the pain, the authoritarians have won. I was really spinning out this morning with the losing ground on free speech and your list reminded me of the many i ways I do fight back and many ways I can add to my resistance. Shine on

Absolutely! What a wonderful recommendation. I think people often forget that we can't pour from an empty cup--or whatever utensil related analogy the kids use these days.

Thank you for your resistance: Here is something Everyone can do, doesn't cost a cent, you can do it from your own home on social media:

PEOPLE POWER; We have all heard the term, but many of us don't understand the concept behind wielding power as an individual or a group;

We start with the basic concept of power in a civil society: What gives power is Recognition of that Power. If society or a person says to the entity saying I have power; no you don't, that theoretical power has been tested. If the person claiming that power cannot enforce their claim upon the person or population; they have no power at all. This is the basis of People Power: we have power if we do not recognize those claiming authority over Us. Every Ruler; Monarch and Emperor since the dawn of centralized society has known this: They have always demanded recognition of their power by recognition of their title: Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, Sir, Your Honor...etc... And there is always punishment for those that do not recognize the title. Often swift, sometimes deadly.. for if you do not recognize the power of title , they have no choice but to use the power of force to compel that recognition or they expose the fact; the power has no clothes.. it is a figment of imagination.

Lets chew on this part of power: Recognition. If you recognize the title, you are giving power to the recognized. If you verbalize the Name; you give power to the recognized.

If you use their Image; this is a form of recognition; it gives them power to be recognized. Old societies had an ultimate power; they would withhold recognition from the person. This was Banishment. No different than throwing them out of the circle of society was when the members of society would not recognize the person's presence. They become a figment lost to even the records of society.

Our Situation: We have a NARCISSISTIC evil upon us. We all know IT is evil. IT persists because too many people and institutions have recognized this evil and have given IT power by speaking ITs name and title and publishing ITs image, name and title. THIS MUST end to banish the evil. All the Media we consume is guilty of using recognition of the evil by constantly ad nauseam publishing ITs Name and ITs image for likes, clicks, audience, follows, recognition and MONEY. They are selling out society by

giving power to the evil. We are not innocent. We have all used the Name, published the Image, all for Likes, clicks, follows and recognition. This too must end. We must use a different form of recognition: One that opposes the attention IT seeks. That exposes the evil for what IT is and denies IT's NARCISSISTIC needs.

Claiming our Power: The Power of Banishment: Non-recognition: We should never use the name on social media, no media need use the name in its headlines or articles. We rename IT with something that no narcissist would want to be called: There are Many to choose from: None need to be derived from the Name or Title: IT; as in Infant Terrible or Infant Terrorist or Infant Tyrant. “Today the Infant Tyrant visited a concentration camp. IT liked what IT saw.” HOW simple, How easy and How effective: everyone will identify IT. IT will not like the name ( Why do you think IT doesn't use peoples names.. calls them nicknames?? IT understand this concept. Notice no Pronoun to identify with, IT is genderless and we need to point that out). This is the very 1st step in Banishing the evil we call IT. But you like the clicks, you like the likes, you like the money and you like the Power ( recognition) using IT's Image and Name give you. And now e know the problem: we are not willing to sacrifice our comfort, our money our power to fight the evil. The Evil wins. We all lose because we could not come together to banish the evil.

This in not some hyperbole: This is what happened in 1930's Germany. This was their road to power.

But, but, but: OgreDragon... what if we challenge their recognition and they form an army, what then... Well I can't write how to fight that battle as I would be banished from social media, my only outlet. But we cross that bridge when we get to it. We prepare to cross it, but we don't act rashly: 1st we must get all the groups organizing marches and protests on the same page: They Must be coordinated: Masses of people have POWER in their Masses: Economic power is one of those forms: what if instead of 3 million people having 30 boycotts; we had 3 million people doing one boycott on any multistate entity. We can make economic change happen.

We can also force entities to stop having access to the public: Today, IT was shut out from a “news” event in Scotland By a single Bagpipe player in the crowd blowing loud: Imagine 1000 Kazoos drowning them in discordance any time they try to speak in Public,.

Now please take this as a start, use your imagination, how can we destroy their recognition or voice. Be Loud Be Proud; Please post your own, take this as your own and expand on it, expound on it spread it like you own it. I don't care. Thank You

Exactly. I take clear risks by writing. Obviously you do. I get annoyed with the but its over crowd.

It’s not over until we say it is. That sounds cliche, but it’s true. My dad always said “failure is not something someone else can label you. Failure only occurs when you give up—and you’re the only one that can throw in your own towel.”

I know.

Another tactic: if you see something, no you didn’t.

No, you haven’t seen any illegal immigrants in the area. No, you haven’t seen those activists spray painting antifascist slogans onto the side of that building. No, you haven’t seen anyone shoplifting to stay alive.

These aren’t the kinds of big actions that get immortalized in history books like D-Day, but how much of D-Day was made possible by farmers who just happened to not see that spy parachute in and land in a nearby field or just happened to not see that resistance cell on the move.

There a saying that fits here...we are not in traffic, we are traffic. What's your threshold before you get involved to fix the traffic jam. We are in a dictatorship.
